This very attractive portable from the famous American company Smith Corona, was manufactured in 1935 with the original rare burgundy red coloured casings. They are known by collectors as a 'Flat Top' portable, and are always a very popular model due to their nice typing action. It also has the floating basket shift movement, which makes moving from small to capital letters much easier. The machine has been fully serviced with a new ribbon fitted and writes very well indeed, with a standard elite typeface giving you 12 characters to the inch. Supplied with the original carry case and a copy of user instructions, it is a lovely collectable model in good working order.
