This very attractive portable from the famous American company Smith Corona was manufactured at their Toronto factory in Canada in 1938. It is an early version, with rare burgundy coloured casings and a floating shift mechanism. The machine has been fully serviced with a new ribbon fitted and writes very well indeed, with a lovely standard pica typeface giving you 10 characters to the inch. Supplied with the original carry case and a copy of user instructions, it is a lovely collectable model.
