This top quality West German typewriter was manufactured in 1969 at the Wilhelmshaven factory, the 'SM' models were made to a very fine standard and the SM9 and SM8 were the first with the re-designed "basket shift" mechanism, which gives a much lighter touch to the shift keys. This machine has a lovely clear standard elite typeface giving you 12 characters to the inch and is supplied with it’s original good quality carry case, and a copy of user instructions. A superb quality portable in excellent original condition.
