A beautiful example of this iconic Swiss portable, manufactured in 1965 with original seafoam green paintwork and light green keytops. The machine has been fully serviced in our workshop with a new ribbon fitted, and writes beautifully with a nice clear 'Director Elite 12' typeface which is rarer to find on a Hermes. It is a lovely typewriter to use with it's nice light touch to the keyboard, and being the earlier model has the classic rounded styling to the casings. It has the original clip on carry case, and a copy of user instructions. Nowadays this model is highly sought after due to it's superb design, and the actor Tom Hanks who is an avid collector of over 250 typewriters says this is his most favourite model.
