Empire-Corona Portable (1962)
This lovely portable typewriter was based on the design of the Smith-Corona Skyriter. It was manufactured by 'British Typewriters Ltd' at their West Bromwich factory in 1962 and has a very neat slim design which makes it easy to carry. On the right-hand side of the machine is a lovely dealers badge showing the machine was originally sold by 'Andrews Typewriters' of Southampton & Winchester. It has been fully serviced in our workshop with a new ribbon fitted and types excellently with a standard pica typeface (10 characters to the inch). The machine is supplied with the original carry case and original user instructions. A very fine example of British manufacturing from the early 1960's.
Replacement ribbons for this machine are available to order on our website. (Group 9 )
